Gypsy Weddings Shock the Nation!

§ March 8th, 2011 § Filed under General § Tagged , , , § No Comments

Channel four commonly broadcasts a gypsy wedding programme once a year, due to the programme being such a hit success with the English nation who love watching the tacky, odd and charismatic traditions of the tax dodging societies who call themselves “travellers”.

I’m not even sure where to begin with this one perhaps the voluptuous attire? The basically prepubescent bride wore a dress which must of weighed near 20 stone down the aisle with a tail the size of a lorry dragging behind her, I cannot really describe how over done the dress looked but if she wore it on a Caribbean wedding she would of been the laughing stock of the entire resort, and to top the “enough layers and lace to stop a bullet” dress off the travellers decorated it with ASDA price fairy lights which really summarised the true meaning of gypsy culture.

The bride was caked from head to toe in foundation, mascara etc which didn’t quite cover up her acne covered face through the 3 inch deep mask of max factor foundation, this was rule of thumb for many of the lady like guests too, but they didn’t really wear any clothes.

If you were invited or it was your ownwedding abroad  you would make the effort to look reasonably smart but at a gypsy wedding were making yourself look a hooker will gain you greatly sought after “gypsy points” which will enable you to move up the clans ranks, Bonus points are added if you try and pull of stunning 2 piece leather of PVC number!

The reception is when it really gets interesting as the feasting, drinking and partying commences for all of those who are married that is the unattached members of the clans mustn’t drink but still yet have a good time encrusted in makeup and wearing little to nothing! I wouldn’t bare being in that situation it would be utterly embarrassing but it looks as if they somehow enjoyed it!

The Maldives Blessings

§ February 14th, 2011 § Filed under General § Tagged , § No Comments

As many of you are quite unaware you cannot legally be bound as a married couple in the beautiful country of the Maldives, This is due to the strong religious views that country. The the majority of the people live on the many islands of the Maldives are strict Muslims which means other religious practices such as weddings are prohibited. It isn’t only weddings that are restricted, Alcohol and tobacco is also not happily accepted especially on the capital Atoll Male where substances such as liquor and cigarettes are classed as contraband and are illegal.

The Maldives is rated as one of the most beautiful places in the world, many Atolls or small Coral islands make up the entirety of the country. Hundreds of stunning Atolls offer pillow like sands and sea water so clear you can see your toes.

But wait a minute! please don’t completely rule out a Maldivian Ceremony because they do exist! There ceremonies are called “Blessings” unlike a wedding there aren’t any requirements for a blessing to take place be aware though a blessing is not seen as a legally bound marriage and will not be official in the eyes of the English Authorities.

Dont give up there’s still many countries you can get married in especially if you want to keep in the Indian ocean region the Mauritius islands or Sri lanka being great examples, have you ever considered African Wedding theme?? These are becoming ever more popular among western societies. Kenya Weddings are undoubtedly the most popular due to the fantastic climate, beautiful locations and the spiritual but catholic service which sometimes involves members of the Kenyan Massai tribe.

Probably the most renowned are the Caribbean Weddings! I can easily see why there the most popular destinations due to the breathtaking landscapes and coastlines, tropical climates and beautiful warm waters in my opinion the perfect set for my wonderful wedding abroad.
