Pure Links are Discounted, Get Your Articles Out There!
Rank algorithm update from google weeded out a lot of good or bad websites, the reason cited is that google wanted to provide more relevant results, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, say it another way, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. Google started this change almost one year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s safe to say that old way of link building is doomed.
So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, we call these sites link spamming sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, all the links on those websites will have the same fate.
A few real world examples will help to explain what I said. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I started promote the keyword, Tire Chain, at that time almost every body was doing plain linking campaign, lately I figured that every site in the campaign had way too many links, and the worst thing is that those sites are linking sites only and had no content, not even crap content. This strategy worked in the beginning, eventually the keyword could be found on first page, this was the case until google made the change. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain pullers, we put the link in relevant context, almost no plain links, you can imagine how this keyword ranks. Old and outdated linking campaign lost to content linking, what’s next? Actually this is all about content, as long as you dole out high quality content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, such as this interesting blog, kaiya eve couture , in the beginning I just post to it casually, lately I added nice stuff left and right, I guess you believe this site won’t be doing too well, in actuality my site is ranking high for some nice search phrases. Now you can see, creating quality content and blog marketing is what we have to do to get great result. If you can build a group of your own blogs, such as cable puller, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.
Remember content is king, you just need to create content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, and put your keywords in the context you’re good to go, as long as you don’t stop doing this, you will win over customers and search engines. Persistence and patience are the keys to success, nothing will automatically improve overnight, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, keep writing, publishing, sharing and creating, you will see the day of success.
